🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Profiles and chat

Shadygram runs a federated Matrix chat as the backend for messaging. By default you are in the shadygram-all group chat, and you can start rooms or message anyone on the site, people on other Matrix servers, or even mirrored Discord rooms.

Click a username to open their profile. Change your display name, bio and profile picture; your posts appear there as a feed of your own.

Encryption

Chats are encrypted, so to pass on your identity you may need to verify across devices: compare some emojis or scan a QR code. This works across third-party clients such as Element.

Install it

Install the site to your home screen to allow notifications when friends message you, and to have it appear fullscreen on desktop and mobile.
